FIT TO BE TIED PREMARITAL SEMINAR
Many couples never learn what makes a marriage successful before they get married. That’s why Evergreen offers the pre-marriage seminar “Fit to be Tied.” This ten-week seminar helps couples learn the basics of a happy, successful and fulfilling marriage. Topics include communication, conflict resolution, finances, physical intimacy, expectations, husband and wife roles and parenting.
The format for each meeting includes a short talk by the facilitator followed by smaller group discussions. Weekly projects are assigned for the couples to complete outside of the class. Attendance at this seminar is required for couples who desire to get married by an Evergreen pastor. SMALL GROUPS FOR COUPLES
While marriage and parenting are some of the happiest and most rewarding life experiences, they are equally intense and stressful. Evergreen wants to help your family be a success. We offer a variety of small groups that are designed to meet the needs of various demographic groups—newly married couples, families with kids, blended families and empty nesters. Couples will find support and encouragement as they get together with other couples to share the victories, joys and struggles of marriage and parenting. MARRIAGE AND PARENTING CONFERENCES
Each spring Evergreen New Hope offers a conference aimed at a particular aspect of family life. Past conferences have included the Love and Respect Marriage conference and the Proper Care of your Children parenting conference. Watch our bulletin for future opportunities to learn and grow in these vital areas.
CHURCH SOCIAL EVENTS
Many at Evergreen are eager to connect with one another just to have fun and develop new friendships. Several times a year Evergreen offers social events specifically for this purpose. These activities are a wonderful way for families that are new to Evergreen to get acquainted with others. Watch the bulletins for church picnics, potlucks, and other social events.
