THE FATHER WOUND

Why has this been so difficult for so many? There is one problem in our culture that seems to rise above the rest: “The Father Wound.” Come and hear pastors Bill Barnd & Jeff Groen share words of hope & healing! Join Evergreen-Bloomington, New Hope, the Urban Refuge, & other GC Churches for this 1/2–day spiritual shot-in-the-arm for young adults & singles of all ages! Men’s Overnight at the Higgins Farm
Friday, February 17, 7:00 PM – Saturday, February 18, 11:00 AM, Higgins' Farm (directions below) Come hang out with the guys for broom-ball and a bonfire Friday and a huge breakfast and discussion Saturday. Dad’s Workshops are starting!
Wednesday, February 8, 7:00-8:30 PM, Fireside Room. Maybe you believe being a godly leader of a family is more the product of personality, natural abilities or giftedness…either you have it or you don’t. Pastor Mark Bowen recently presented a tremendous teaching to the contrary: All dads can lead effectively by imitating 6 qualities of John the Baptist. We will meet the 2nd Wednesday of each month (through May) to help each other put these things into practice. Don’t worry if you missed Pastor Bowen’s teaching, we will get you caught up!

Womens Bible Study Plus
February 3 & 24, March 9 & 23, 7:00-10:00 PM, Fireside Room. Ladies -- come in out of the cold and warm your hearts! Join us for an evening of Biblical instruction, small group discussion, and just hanging out! We will be watching and discussing a DVD series entitled, "Lies Women Believe: and the Truth that Sets them Free" by Nancy Leigh DeMoss. No book or workbook is required.
