Monday, October 26, 7:30-8:00 PM, Fellowship Hall. Didn't Jesus say "turn the other cheek"? So how could a 'martial art' be Christian and biblically based? Come to this short demonstration and find out. In addition to breaking boards and bricks, our class will show how we develop physical, mental, and spiritual character traits to train our bodies and deepen our walk with Christ. Because "while bodily training is of some value, godliness is of value in every way." Questions? Contact Courtney Padgitt at 612-860-5343 or firstname.lastname@example.org.

Ever had someone say something that felt like it must have come out of God's Word? We love offering little nuggets of advice, support, or sympathy like "God helps those who help themselves," or "This too shall pass." Those platitudes come in handy when we want people to feel better. But what if the guidance you’re giving or receiving just isn’t true? What if God never said that?
Join us for our next series which tackles common myths about God and how those misconceptions keep us from having a deeper relationship with Him.
Saturday, November 7, 8:00 AM-12:30 PM, Evergreen, Lakeville. Auditorium. Attention all Leaders & Apprentices! By and large, churches remain the most segregated places in America. How can we change that? And how can we be influential peacemakers in a tense world? Leaders from the Urban Refuge will share insights and perspectives they’ve been learning on their long but rewarding journey toward harmony.
